Dr. David Rothberg is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Residency Program Director at the University of Utah, as well as the Orthopaedic Trauma Liaison for Primary Children’s Hospital. He maintains a clinical practice at both the University of Utah Hospital and Clinics and Primary Children’s Hospital, specializing in complex orthopaedic trauma, including pelvic and acetabular fractures, nonunion and malunion, peri-articular fractures, pediatric orthopaedic trauma, and post-traumatic reconstruction.

Dr. Rothberg completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Utah and a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of California, Davis. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Association, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and AO Trauma, where he also serves as faculty. His expertise bridges clinical care, surgical education, and trauma research, contributing to the advancement of orthopaedic trauma treatment. Dr. Rothberg currently serves as a Science Advisory Board Member for Purgo Scientific.
